In a recent interview with The Toxic Avenger director Macon Blair, he spoke about an actor he’d like to get if a sequel were to come about. How does Melanie Lynskey grab you as the villain? If you’ve seen the movie, how amazing would that be?

Speaking of sequels, it looks like there may be another Last Witch Hunter on the horizon. While it’s not confirmed, Sir Michael Caine may come out of retirement to reprise his role, but no mention of Elijah. Well, it is a film about witches, spells, and resurrections, so who knows?

In the next few days, people from all over the world will be swarming into Austin, Texas, for Fantastic Fest’s 20th anniversary, and I’m excited to be going back. We’ll see if Elijah shows up, but if not, it will still be a wild, raunchy blast with movies galore! Afterwards, I’ll be in post-fest mode, with four conventions to cover (and maybe a film festival), which means the next update will come at the end of October.

I recently concluded a poll on Instagram, where followers voted for their favorite Elijah character, and, no surprise, Frodo Baggins beat out 52 others. But that doesn’t diminish the impact they have on fans. The Video of the Month is my compilation of behind-the-scenes and outtakes from Elijah’s acting career.

Lastly, congratulations to Sean Astin for being voted SAG-AFTRA’s new president! He’s following in the footsteps of his mother, Patty Duke, who was president of SAG from 1985-1988.
