The Toxic Avenger, which has been hitting hard over the past few weeks with promos, retro trailers, and general goofiness, has finally opened in cinemas. Elijah was present at a local theater in LA to help get the crowd in the mood. I got the chance to see it this weekend, and it’s a blast!
There are some Zoom video interviews with Elijah from KTLA, ComingSoon.net, and The Mary Sue (where he says he “thinks” he’s going to miss Fantastic Fest’s 20th anniversary this year) I hope not.
Here’s a print article from io9 of Elijah discussing… what else?
Take a look at the artist’s concept design that Elijah received for his character, Fritz. Elijah’s degree dropped to one, so what was it like for Kevin Bacon to work alongside him?
Reddit’s AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Elijah took place a few days ago. You can read his responses to fans’ questions about “most” anything, since he answered nearly 20 out of thousands.
On to other things…
There’s a ton of fun photos from For the Love of Fantasy convention in London, where it may have been the largest LOTR cast appearance, including Sir Ian McKellen’s first con! A video of their full Q&A panel is on YouTube where Mr. McKellen dropped some news.
Dominic has spoiled us again with a couple of videos on Potatoes and Ice Cream. With all that activity and flashing strobes going on in the background, a photoshoot has to be coming!
SpectreVision… that is, Elijah and Daniel recently had another live recording in LA called Friend of the Fest. They sat down with the Ready or Not, Abigail, and Scream directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillet, and during promotions, Elijah spoke briefly about the sequel to Ready or Not, though he couldn’t say too much.
The trailer for SpectreVision’s latest film Rabbit Trap is now online and set to be released on September 12th.
The company is expanding once again, this time into Video Podcasting, and is launching a vast array of programs.
The new comedy series for HBO, where Elijah will guest-star in an episode, has finally been named. I Love LA will premiere on November 2nd. There is no official news on which episode he’ll appear in, but it could be the first one.
One done and another one. Season 4 of Yellowjackets is set to begin filming in February 2026 in Vancouver and is expected to conclude in July, with an air date anticipated later in the year.
And finally, the Video of the Month showcases SpectreVision’s recent live recording for Friend of the Fest.
That’s all… for now.
