Always & Forever: Elijah Wood

Over the past twenty years, Elijah has attended the Sundance Film Festival ten times. This year, he’s back in Park City, Utah, for the festival, which runs through February 2nd. A bundle of images with more to come can be viewed here, and SpectreVision’s Rabbit Trap has already bagged some positive reviews.

Here, Elijah speaks on why Sundance is important. He also reflects on his journey as a producer and why he feels the festival should remain in Park City.

Sundance’s NEXT film selections showcase movies that go beyond the restrictions of an independent budget, which is why Elijah is the perfect choice as the sole juror for those films. Not only does he retain that honor, but he and Daniel will hold another live recording for Visitations on Thursday. By the way, have you seen SpectreVision’s new YouTube channel?

Just before the festival, Elijah, Sean, and John Rhys-Davies attended Albuquerque Comic Con. Click for the photos.

Here are videos taken by Stephanie (thank you!) at the convention of their entire panel discussion in three parts (check the description for links to the others), and another video from a different angle.

This is an encouraging update on The Toxic Avenger. After slinging harsh criticisms that the film is unreleasable, even at a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it will finally be released later this year. No date has yet been set, but you can read about the lowdown.

We’re about two and a half weeks from the long-awaited start of season three of Yellowjackets, with two episodes on Valentine’s Day. They’ve supplied us with another trailer—this time, albeit, one line, Walter speaks!

Those who attended a preview screening of The Monkey call it a bloody blast and savagely gory. One recommends it to any horror fan and said Elijah delivers an outstanding performance in a small role. The movie is set to be released in theaters on February 21st, and they dropped another trailer. This has broken records for independent horror film trailers, racking up over 110 million views across all platforms in less than two weeks.

Adding to recommendations, check out one of Elijah’s better interviews with an appearance on Michael Rosenbaum’s podcast, Inside of You.

A new conversation that I found interesting on Elijah’s 2021 film, No Man of God, can be listened to on the podcast Murder Made Fiction.

A couple more conventions for 2025 have been announced.

I suppose we all know by now that Elijah and Mette-Marie held an intimate and memorable sequel wedding ceremony in Sweden on New Year’s Eve with family and the closest of friends. On behalf of all fans, we’d like to congratulate and wish them a lifetime of love and laughter.

Hopefully, you read the announcement on A&F’s Instagram that The Age of Aquarius, where fans celebrate Elijah’s birthday, is being put out to pasture. But that doesn’t mean the celebrations are over. Check out this engaging career timeline edited by Romina and an artwork made by yours truly.

The Video of the Month is another one of my birthday creations, but instead of a long-form video, I’ve made a short instead.

That’s all… for now, and a very Happy 44th Birthday, Elijah!
