Always & Forever: Elijah Wood

The big news this month was an unexpected addition to San Diego Comic Con. It was announced that members of The Toxic Avenger team would be in attendance and would occupy Hall H, the convention’s massive gathering spot. Elijah was there with Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay, and Taylour Paige, along with producer Lloyd Kaufman and director Macon Blair. Check out the photos from the event and keep an eye out for the long-time reunion Elijah had.

They were happy to share an exclusive clip with the audience, and we’re lucky to have a look at it as well, which features Elijah as Fritz. Language and blood await you. This time next month, The Toxic Avenger will be in theaters, so show the f*ck up!… Their words, not mine.

You would think San Diego was the only convention to take place this month, but Elijah attended Montreal Comic Con earlier with Andy, Sean, and Billy, with a quick backstage interview. There was also the Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, minus his LOTR crew. A video from his Q&A at the expo is available.

I’ve grouped a couple of appearances of Wooden Wisdom’s recent outings in Phoenix and Knoxville. They’re slated to spin the turntables tomorrow night in Seattle.

Over on A&F’s Instagram, there’s a poll happening for followers to vote for their favorite characters Elijah has portrayed. Round 1 is complete, with the winners going head-to-head in the following rounds, which begins tomorrow. The Video of the Month focuses on one I edited a few years back to celebrate Elijah’s 30th year in the business, recounting the characters he’s played up to 2019. This is the short version, but there’s also a longer one that links at the end.
