Once again, we’re doing some catching up from Fan Expo Anaheim that took place in June, and since there were very slim pickings from Wooden Wisdom’s outing at The House of Blues, they’ve been included.

Filming has started on The Hunt for Gollum in New Zealand, and Elijah, along with some of the cast, like Andy Serkis and Ian McKellen, took a little break by watching New Zealand’s All Blacks play some rugby. [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]

For his insane portrayal of quirky alternate-Elijah, the real guy has been nominated for his performance in I Love L.A. from the Gold Derby TV Awards for Best Comedy Guest Actor.

Elijah’s good friend and castmate, Melanie Lynskey, shared some photos from a party she recently hosted at the end of two grueling weeks of filming, in thanks for working with the people on Yellowjackets. There hasn’t been any sign that Elijah attended, but I would like to think he did, and hopefully some fun photos will emerge. Filming on the final season wrapped this past week.

Elijah and Daniel will host another Visitations live podcast at the Aero Theater in Los Angeles on August 23rd. They are bringing back producer Dan Harmon as they present the classic dark comedy, Network.

Now, I’m not quite sure what this is all about, but Elijah will be a guest (or make a brief appearance) on Movie Requests. It looks like a movie suggestion is made, and it will be reviewed by Jack Drees on his YouTube channel on Sunday, August 2nd, so check it out.

August marks the 27th anniversary of when development for The Lord of the Rings began, so this Video of the Month outlines Elijah’s journey to becoming Frodo Baggins – events that many already know.
